Located 9 km north of Cascais, just beyond Guincho beach but not visible from the road, Abano Beach has a small area of sand and is exposed to strong winds. There is parking and the beach, which is attractive and has a large rock in the centre, is accessed via a dirt track where there is a pleasant restaurant. The conditions are suitable for surfing and body boarding, there are lifeguards on duty in season and the average seawater temperature in season is 17-19 ºC.
